Birds Of Prey Centre

Press Release

The Bird of Prey Centre constantly strives to work on conservation and we are very pleased and proud to be a part of the World Owl Trust. We have recently joined the Owl Taxon Advisory Group (OTAG) and by doing so we have shown our commitment to long-term owl conservation and regional collection planning. The OTAG exists to ensure that the species and subspecies we hold have as secure a future as possible with suitable wild-type stock becoming available for reintroduction programmes, should these become necessary.

We are, at present, building new aviaries for the purpose of a breeding program Our aim is to have all the British Owl Species for the year 2005. We are also increasingly working on global owl conservation and trying to raise funds.

At present we have raised over £200 towards the Philipines project. We will keep you informed as this progresses.
